Are custom battery sizes and capacities available?

Yes, we regularly design and manufacture custom power solutions for our IoT clients. What is the expected shell-life of the battery?

Shelf-life is dependent upon battery type and storage temperature and conditions. For cells stored at or below room temperature, expected shelf-life ranges from 3 to 5 years. Prolonged exposure to temperatures that exceed room temperature detrimentally affect batteries. For extended storage in a refrigerated area, BrightVolt recommends the use of vapor proof packaging to prevent moisture egress.

What is the monthly self-discharge of the battery?

Self-discharge is dependent upon battery type and storage temperature and conditions. At room temperature, typical self-discharge is less than .5% per month.

What is the expected useful life of the battery?

How can the BrightVolt battery be attached to an electronic circuit?

The dual battery terminal design of BrightVolt products enables a variety of attachment methods. These include soldering, conductive z-axis tape, conductive epoxy and ultrasonic welding. Can BrightVolt batteries survive the hot lamination process?

Yes, BrightVolt batteries have been successfully integrated into hot lamination processes with temperatures up to 135°C.

Do BrightVolt batteries meet ISO standards for bend and flexibility testing?

Yes, BrightVolt cells pass all ISO bend and flexibility testing and are ISO 7816 Certified.

Are BrightVolt batteries RoHS compliant?

Unlike many coin cell batteries, BrightVolt batteries do not contain RoHS restricted/controlled materials. Furthermore, unlike conventional “liquid or gel-cells”, BrightVolt’s patented technology is dry, making it very safe and extremely flexible.
