Espinoza joins executive team to help drive the adoption of ultra-thin film batteries.

REDMOND, Wash. – April 21, 2016 – BrightVolt, the global leader in the design, development
and scale manufacturing of ultra-thin film, flexible batteries, announced today the addition of Venetia
Espinoza as Vice President of Marketing and Product.

BrightVolt’s name change and new executive team rounded out with Espinoza comes at a pivotal time
during the massive game-changing potential of Internet of Things (IoT). BrightVolt is poised to capitalize
on IoT having raised $14 million in their series A and are gearing up for a series B.

Espinoza will be based in the company’s Redmond, WA headquarters. She will focus on accelerating the
adoption of BrightVolt’s market leading power efficient, flexible and ultra-thin batteries and
microelectronics that are used in sensors, medical devices, wearables and smartcards.

Espinoza joins BrightVolt from Softcard where she was Vice President and General Manager, responsible
for all joint sales strategies, channel distribution, digital marketing, social media, advertising and PR. Prior
to Softcard, she was Director of Product Management-Digital Stores and Mobile Payments at T-Mobile
(2007-2012), where she managed T-Mobile’s entertainment and digital media business. In this role,
Espinoza had P&L and operational management accountability for web and mobile products with combined
yearly revenue of $270MM. She also had direct involvement in leveraging a relationship with Google,
forging a strategy to introduce direct carrier billing and T-Mobile Top Picks for Android Market.
